HELLO!
...and welcome to Debbie's Dry Cleaning! Some of you may be wondering, who the heck are we? Well, good question. We are Carolyn Mazanec, Tiajha Nakahara, Kevin Lin & Zea Nakahara Lin, and we make up the Debbie's Dry Cleaning team (pictured below).
This whole thing started on New Year's Eve at the end of 2021, when Tiajha & Carolyn discovered that Kevin can paint. They were holed up in an air bnb in Vancouver during a snowstorm when Kevin pulled out his watercolor set and started painting postcards (like the ones on the right). It blew Carolyn's mind and inspired her to write a story where she could feature his illustrations alongside it.
MEET THE TEAM...
Carolyn Mazanec is our Writer, Creator & Sometimes-Painter on the Debbie's Dry Cleaning team. She lives in Oakland, CA and currently works for Pixar Animation Studios. When she's not posting for Debbie's, you can find Carolyn playing beach volleyball, re-reading Harry Potter (again), or drinking copious amounts of coffee.
What would you ask Debbie for? Teleportation and unlimited PTO.
Tiajha Nakahara is the Executive Producer for Debbie's Dry Cleaning. She currently resides in Sunnyvale, CA with her family (aka Kevin & Zea). When she isn't researching "how to build a website" for us (thanks T!), Tiajha can be found "producing" our next vacation, making the best oat milk lattes you'll ever have, or catching up on her favorite WebToons.
What would you ask Debbie for? If I never had to sleep again, that would be awesome! So never being tired / always being refreshed & energized. Plus more hours in the day!
Kevin Lin is the Art Director for the Debbie's Dry Cleaning team, driving our character design and setting the style for the series (while also trying to teach Carolyn & Tiajha how to paint). Kevin currently works for Apple and lives in Sunnyvale, CA. When he is not painting for Debbie's, you can find Kevin helping fix Carolyn's car, 3D printing things, or playing the guitar.
What would you ask Debbie for? More time to work on my side projects. That, and an infinite supply of truffle popcorn.
Zea Nakahara Lin is our Senior Art Director and the newest member to the Debbie's Dry Cleaning team. When she's not reviewing artwork for the series, you can find Zea playing with blocks, looking out the window (as a member of the Sunnyvale Neighborhood Crime Watch), or taking a 1-2 hour nap.
What would you ask Debbie for? A few more teeth would be great.
